Kolkata designer Amalin Datta is going places. Having launched his label a couple of months back, he was invited last month by the Kuwait Textile Arts Association (KTAA) to Middle East country, where he spoke on Indian textiles.
Amalin was appreciated for his experimental designs and what’s more, most of his creations were sold out within two hours! He also showcased Banaras brocades, Baluchari, Kalamkari and Patola silk to highlight India’s rich textile heritage.
